I'm Elisabeth Neale, better known as Liz (or Lizzie if you like, or Sheepy if you know me well!) . Yes, my name IS spelt with an 's', not a 'z'. It's something my parents thought was a good idea, and even though I've had to endure years of misspellings (and occasionally even mispronunciations!) I'm starting to agree with them. It did mean that no one had taken this blog name!
I live in Sydney and I study a Bachelor of Arts (Media and Communications) at the University of Sydney. My dream job would be a features writer for a magazine like the Good Weekend, or for a website.
I am a self- proclaimed 'word nerd' and a crazily-addicted writer. I wrote my first novel when I was 14 (after a little bit of recognition from a publisher it was rejected and has since been put away for when I have more time) and in 2010 I completed a 50,000 word novel in one month for NaNoWriMo, which I highly recommend to any aspiring writer. There are plenty of other unfinished novels waiting for my attention, but for now they're on hold while I figure out some other things.I also write songs, mostly just for me, but if you're lucky I might show you one day.
I have completed work experience at Good Reading magazine and The Sydney Morning Herald. In 2011 I worked for CMS for a few months as a freelance editor, and will be heading back there this year for some part time work.
Right, well, I've told you heaps here. If you want to know more about me, just read my blog. It's all going to be there!
